A new dress for Spring

I had a lot of fun sewing this little spring number. I love the colors and the fabric- probably because they make me feel "springish" and I am SO sick of wintery weather. I used a McCalls pattern and added my own little touches.

(My little lady was happy to model it, she loved the ruffles and that it spun well.)

Lollipops!

I made these adorable pants and a skirt for my friend Scarlette (I have to admit I wanted to keep them for my self)

New Sash and Bow for Easter

Here's my little lady ready for Spring. I made her the white dress for Easter last year, and am reusing it this year, except with a new bow and sash. Her brothers are wearing green, navy, and white; so this is what I came up with to have her match. For her sash and bow I made rolled rosettes out of taffeta, the little blossom flowers out of organza (I singed the edges over a candle), and added some pearls for embellishment.

New to Blueberry Pearls

Hi, I'm Elizabeth and I am so excited (and flattered) that Amy has asked me to contribute to her creative blog. I love to sew, create, and do all things crafty.

Here's my little lady. She's my only girl and is my main creative outlet for sewing. Which means she has way too many clothes- I just can't help it. Here is my latest creation:
The prints are Amy Butler. I used a McCalls pattern for the top (tweaked a little) and just kind of winged it for the pants. I used some outgrown pants and added lots of ruffles.

“Dress design for Shabby Apple dresses”

I love Shabby apple dresses In fact this dress was inspired by Shabby Apple.
I made this one Pink, I think it could be sewn into a Variety of colors and fabric patterns Or even a solid fabric. I think the best part is the ruffled collar.
I have Used cotton Fabric here but I think I could have used a satin fabric.
I am entering their Dare to Design contest

I threw these dresses together for our family photo shoot.
I think its important when you are getting family pictures to consider the room you are putting these in,  I wanted these to match my living room so I pulled some of the colors I wanted to pull out into the outfits.

Greenhouse Garden Collection

This is my spring garden collection I made this for the girls for Easter. I love how they turned out. The green top is an Up-cycled tank top. I was sewing and looked over in my pile of used clothing and noticed that it matched perfectly.
